Top 100 Augmented Reality Sites on Google Search

Augmented reality (AR) is a hot topic. What kind of AR sites that sits on top 100 rank on Google Search these days? This is a list of AR sites categorized by the type of the sites. However, the result changes everyday.

1. Encyclopedia 

Sites like Wikipedia and Howstuffworks are placed as top for letting everyone know about the definition of AR. 

2. Reputable Blog and News sites

Mashable, Engadget, Wall Street Journal, CNET, DigitalTrends, MITTechnologyReview, TED, Gizmodo, TechCruch,  PCWorlds, ReadWrite, BBC, The Verge, National Geographic, SlashGear, AugmentedRealityTrends, AugmentedBlog.

These blog and news sites have a tag or category for AR news and articles.

As expected, academia and research labs have good positions on top 100 Google Search. Although the number is few. ISMAR as the prestigious conference on AR, however, is ranked on 62 (page 6 for 10 sites per page). I personally think, Google search should rank ISMAR higher because ISMAR produces high quality papers in Augmented Reality that may become the potential resources in the future. Hopefully, ISMAR's rank will raise very soon.
